As the breeder, you are each pet's first keeper in law. Register the litter once, nominate each new keeper, and we chase the paperwork so you don't have to.
Under the Microchipping of Cats and Dogs (England) Regulations 2023, the breeder must be recorded as the animal's first keeper, not the buyer. That first entry anchors the whole history of the record.
Puppies must be microchipped and registered by the time they're eight weeks old, before they go anywhere. Your implanter registers each chip against you as first keeper.
An animal must not be transferred to a new keeper unless it has been microchipped or is validly exempt under a vet's certificate. No chip, no transfer. There is no workaround, and we don't offer one.
If you're a licensed dog breeder, your licence number and issuing local authority are recorded on each pet's record, so buyers and authorities can see the litter came from a licensed source.
When a pet is sold or rehomed, simply nominate the new keeper from your breeder dashboard. The registration is transferred securely, creating a smooth handover and ensuring the pet's record stays accurate and up to date.
Pick the pet, enter the new keeper's name and email, and send the nomination. Their side of the record is now waiting for them. The new owner is legally required to register the pet in their name.
The new keeper creates an account, confirms their contact details and completes the one-off £22 lifetime registration. Until then, you remain the registered keeper, ensuring there is always a responsible keeper linked to the pet.
If the new keeper has not completed their registration, we'll automatically send reminder emails after two weeks and again after three weeks. You can track the status of every nomination from your breeder dashboard.
Still not registered at four weeks? The case escalates: you're notified, and our team steps in to resolve it. A record pointing at the wrong keeper helps nobody find a lost dog.
The £22 keeper registration fee is a one-off per animal, paid by the new keeper by payment card when they accept the nomination.
Register your entire litter in one place instead of completing each pet individually. Shared information, such as the dam, date of birth and breeder details, is entered once, while each microchip number is added as it is implanted.
Every pet's record shows you as the first keeper, includes your breeder licence details where applicable, and maintains a complete history of every ownership transfer. It's a clear, secure record that's created automatically as you use the platform.
Your breeder dashboard shows the status of every pet immediately, including whether they have been microchipped, registered, nominated to a new keeper or transferred. You'll always know which records still need action before each pet goes to its new home.
